Our eye examinations last 45-60 minutes and involve taking a full patient history, performing eye health checks as well as a complete refraction check. We like to think that Bradley leaves no stone unturned and you can be sure that he’ll investigate anything out of the ordinary. OCT SCANNING
Using infrared laser scanning technology, early detection of eye conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and retinal detachment is possible. This is crucial to prevent irreversible vision loss. Think of it as a CT scan for the eye! If indicated, this scan can be performed during your eye examination or at a later date.
ADVANCED CONTACT LENS FITTING
Kerataconus sufferers, those with corneal grafts or irregular corneas (from injury or surgery) often require specially designed hard contact lenses in order for them to see clearly as glasses or soft contact lenses may not provide adequate correction. The fitting process is usually more involved than for soft contact lenses as we require the use of a topographer to map the surface of the cornea to achieve a customized fit for the individual’s needs.
